DAY 1:  Airport to Hikkaduwa

At Colombo airport you will be warmly welcomed a member of Heart Attached Holidays’ ground handling team. Then you will be taken on a city tour in Colombo, which is the commercial hub and the most happening city of Sri Lanka.

Then comes shopping! Visitors to Sri Lanka never miss an opportunity for shopping, specially in Colombo as it offers best deals in highest quality. Don’t forget shop for an extra baggage too!

Leave to Hikkaduwa where lies the beautiful beach resort homes you today. Rest and relax by the beach rest of the day or dip into the unique pool and relive yourself.

DAY 2: Hikkaduwa

Leave to Hikkaduwa after breakfast. Your first stop over will be the Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda. An unforgettable sight here is the tiny lively hatchlings. You will be seen the large tanks filled with newborn turtles and how these “babies” are released to the sea when they are 2 – 4 days old.Thereafter engage in a boat ride (optional) in Madhu River or engage in fishing (optional) in Madhu River.

Afternoon visit Hikkaduwa marine national park to witness rare species of coral reeves.

If you have the passion for diving and snorkelling, Hikka is the best site to explore marine life.

DAY 3: Hikkaduwa to Mirissa/Yala

Rise early this morning for the unforgettable whale-watching excursion. Join an approx three hour cruise which departs from the Mirissa harbour, on the island’s south coast. The blue whales – the earth’s largest creatures – are the real attraction here, however you may also be lucky enough to spot humpback whales and dolphins. Keep your camera handy to catch the rare sights!

Thereafter proceed to Yala for another fun-filled adventure. Rise early this morning for the unforgettable whale-watching excursion. Join an approx three hour cruise which departs from the Mirissa harbour, on the island’s south coast. The blue whales – the earth’s largest creatures – are the real attraction here, however you may also be lucky enough to spot humpback whales and dolphins. Keep your camera handy to catch the rare sights!

Thereafter proceed to Yala for another another exotic wilderness. With the world’s highest concentration of leopards Yala national park is loved by children and eco tourists alike. But it is not only leopards run the show here, dozens of other animals, mammals, birds and reptiles attracts tourists in hundreds to this sanctuary every day.

After the long day in the wild you may need a well deserved rest and relaxation. The luxurious hotel located within the forestry will give you all the comfort and undisturbed closeness to the surrounding nature.

DAY 4: Yala to Udawalawe

After an early breakfast get set for an adventurous safari into the Uda Walawe National Park. This is THE place to see elephants in their natural habitat. Reports confirm there is a herd of about 500 elephants in this 30,820 hectares jungle. This is the home for numerous other animals and birds too.

Feeding times at the Elephant Transit Camp just adjoining the National Park is a wonderful experience not to be missed. Orphaned baby elephants ranging from one month old to two years are cared for by the Wild Life Department until they are ready to be set free once again into the Uda Walawe jungle.

After that “Jumbo” experience, you can relax at the lovely resort rest of the day.

DAY 5: Udawalawe to Nuwara Eliya

After many adventurous days, now it is the time to cool off. Morning you will leave for Nuwara Eliya – the beautiful hill resort of the island. Located 6,000 feet above the sea level, nestled by valleys of tea plantation and blessed bountifully with natural beauty and pleasantly cool weather Nuwara Eliya is a place like no other.

Reach the hotel passing acres of vegetation, tea estates, and cascading waterfalls. After a rest, take a boat ride down the Gregory Lake, a horse ride around the city centre or a round of golf to be warmed up for a chilly night.

DAY 6: Nuwara Eliya

Wake up to a beautiful morning which you will spend exploring the only highland national park in Sri Lanka. This is a plateau at an altitude of 6,900 – 7,500 ft and is rich in bio-diversity. Many species found here are endemic to the region. Have your picnic breakfast on the top of the park viewing the stunning surrounding. Charming beauty of the
Horton Plains and the mysterious stories about its famous attraction “World’s End” bring thousands of visitors to this beautiful place everyday. Don’t forget to witness the Bakers Fall.

Afterwards visit the highest set botanical garden in the world at Haggala. The Rose Garden here is one place you will go totally breathless…its simply amazing.

Terms & Conditions of the tour / services offered by Heart Attached Holidays (Forms an integral part of the contract)

Cost includes:

• Meeting and assistance at the airport on arrival and airport transfer.
• Accommodation at hotels specified or similar with Breakfast starting from day 2.
• Transportation in an Air-conditioned car (up to 3 pax) / van (up to 10 pax) / coaches (for larger groups) with English speaking driver guide / guide lecturers as applicable. Guides with other languages are available on requests. A surcharge may be applicable.
• All local taxes.

Cost excludes:

• Air fare.
• Visa processing charges.
• Lunch, dinner or any other supplement.
• Camera and video permits.
• Optional excursions.

Payment Conditions:

• Payment only should be made once you receive your Proforma Invoice from Heart Attached (Pvt) Ltd.
• In converting foreign currencies, prevailing selling rates of Central Bank of Sri Lanka will be used.
• Six weeks or more prior to the travel date – 50% of the total tour cost.
• Six weeks or less – 100% of the tour cost.
• Flexible payment plans can be discussed.
• All the bank charges including inter-bank charges on account of the client.
• Heart Attached bears all local bank charges.
• Credit card payments will attract additional 4%.

Other Conditions:

• In the event of government revising taxes or exchange rates (upward revision), clients will be requested to make the differences.
• Once confirmed hotels can only be changed or cancelled within cancellation period. Cancellation fee may be applicable. Please request more details of the hotels if required or visit their websites / reviews for more information.
• Excursions / day tours except the ones agreed in the above programme are optional and could be provided on additional fees.
• Entrance Fees are NOT included to any of the attractions, unless mentioned above.
• Travel insurance is not included in the above cost.
• Visits to wild life parks will be at clients’ own risk.
• Jeeps available are very basic with basic insurance cover (not comprehensive as in the case of vehicles used for tours).

Cancellation Charges:

• 15 days or less – 100% cancellation charge. This is in general and may vary depends on the hotels.
• Between 16 days and 30 days – 50% cancellation charges or the equivalent of the first two days charges depending on the programme and period of stay.
• Above 30 days – No cancellation charges, provided no commitment or advances are made to 3rd parties.

Hotel rules and regulations:

• The official check-in time at all hotels will be 14hrs.
• The official check-out time at all hotels will be 11hrs.
• Early check- in and late check-out are chargeable.
• Heart Attached Holidays always strive to provide complimentary early check-in and late check-out. This depends on the season and availability of the rooms.
• Cancellation policy will be applicable for any reduction of rooms after the release period.
• All the supplements should be directly paid to the hotel.
