Overview

Day 1: Airport to Sigiriya

After a warm welcome at the airport by Heart Attached team, you will be taken to your private vehicle. Enjoy a perfect entry to your culinary journey with a drink of fresh King Coconut water and roasted cashew. En-route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Reach your hotel in Sigiriya and relax, before climbing Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the afternoon.

Day 2: Sigiriya

After an early breakfast, take a day excursion to the Sri Lankan country side. Visit vegetable patches and pluck what you like to cook for lunch. Visit paddy fields walking through mud paths. Then, wash yourself from the nearby well, just like a farmer would and join farmer’s family in preparing your lunch. Apart from vegetables of your choice, specialty dish of this part of the country is fried fresh water fish, will also be ready for you today.

Day 3: Sigiriya to Kandy

Head on to Kandy today. En-route visit a spice garden to identify hundreds of spices. These aromas and unique tastes are the secret to the mouth-watering flavors of Sri Lankan food. The “Oil Cake” culinary lesson you are receiving today is special to Sinhalese culture, hence to Kandy itself. Even though Sri Lankans make these food only for special occasions, we have arranged this session for you because you are special to us.

Day 4: Kandy to Bandarawela

Leave for Bandarawela today. Visit a tea factory en-route to learn the process a tea leaf go through before it makes a delicious cup of tea for you. Then visit the tea plantation to get a first- hand experience on tea plucking. In the afternoon, meet our local expert in Bandarawela who would take you to his house to demonstrate making yet another scrumptious meal in Sri Lankan style.

Day 5: Bandarawela

Begin the day with a visit to scenic Lipton Seat. After descending, you will be cycling around Bandarawela, followed by a bath in a natural rock pool. Today’s lunch is at a street side restaurant which are quite famous among the tourists visiting Bandarawela. Keep your expectations high for an extraordinary feast in the night. As temperature is dropping you will be tasting a Sri Lankan special dinner served under the starry night sky.

Day 6: Bandarawela – Kalutara / Beruwala

Today, drive to down south beach paradise of Sri Lanka. Apart of from bubbling sea life of this part of the country, there’s one more thing down south is famous for – Fish Ambul Thiyal! An irresistible clay pot fish dish always Sri Lankans proud to claim their own. Learn how this signature dish is prepared in slow-cook method, to add an infinite taste to whatever you eat it with. Complete your culinary journey with not only succulent, but also rhythmic special of Sri Lanka, “Kottu Roti”. Join in with the roti maker to chop the roti for the beat, a sound and a food Sri Lankans can’t live without.

Payment Conditions:

  • Payment only should be made once you receive your Invoice from Heart Attached (Pvt) Ltd.Six weeks or more prior to the travel date – 50% of the total tour cost.S ix weeks or less – 100% of the tour cost
  • All the bank charges borne by the remitter. Local bank charges borne by us
  • Credit card payment will attract additional 4% to 5% charges depending on the card type

Other Conditions:

  • Once confirmed hotels can be changed within cancellation window only with a cancellation fee. Please request more details of the hotels if required or visit their websites / reviews for more information
  • Excursions / day tours except the ones agreed in the above programme are optional and could be provided on an additional fee
  • Entrance Fees are NOT included to any of the attractions, unless mentioned above
  • Travel insurance is not included in the above cost
  • Visits to wild life parks will be at client’s own risk
