Day 1 Airport – Sigiriya

After a warm welcome at the airport you will be taken to experience Sri Lanka to your first destination of Sigiriya. Start your journey climbing the Sigiriya Rock fortress. Famed to be one of the earliest tourist attractions of the world, the uniqueness of Sigiriya doesn’t only lie with its shape and the setting, but also its history which is still grandeur.

You will be then pampered with refreshing king coconut drink at the foot of the rock. Take a leisurely drive in a bullock cart through the roads of Sigiriya and reach a perfectly calm place right on the top of a tree. Lay back and look around the beautiful country side of Sri Lanka, before leaving to your hotel.

Day 2: Sigiriya

The day start today with some hands on experience. Reach village farm / vegetable plantation to see and if you like help the farmers carry out their daily chores. Watering, fertilizing and de-weeding and harvesting the fresh produce would be a one of a kind experience for you. Today’s plan doesn’t end there; join them too in making some delicious food in the Sri Lankan style. While that’s been prepared you could go to the nearby stream and have cool and refreshing dip. Now all set for you to enjoy Sri Lankan lunch, authentically Sri Lankan way.

After lunch its time for an immense experience. Go into the deep lakes, middle of the paddy fields and touch the tree tops without even having to get up from where you are. Obviously though, you are not sitting just somewhere, you are going to sit for an elephant back ride now.

Day 3: Sigiriya – Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya, which famously known also as Little England. All your way admire the scenes of acres and acres of tea plantations, dozens of waterfalls and beautiful streams. En-route, visit to a tea factory and a tea plantation to “pluck” some first-hand knowledge of the life journey of a tea leaf go through before it brews in your tea.

Spend the rest of the day relaxing at the comfort of your hotel or taking any of the many brief excursions at your convenience. Going for a round of golf, a swan boat ride or simple stroll down to the city centre of Nuwara Eliya will be equally fun activities to try in this cold hill country. Optionally you could also take a lesson of how to cook your favourite Sri Lankan dish.

Day 4: Nuwara Eliya

You are going to have an unforgettable picnic this morning. Visit Horton Plains – the only highland national park in Sri Lanka at an altitude of 6,900–7,500 ft and is rich in biodiversity. Many species found here are endemic to the region. The Plains also feature many interesting attractions such as ‘Bakers Falls’, ‘Chimney Pool’ and the famous ‘World’s End’ – a 3,700 ft sheer drop that offers fabulous views of the tea estates below and all the way out to the distant southern coastline. Enjoy your picnic breakfast in this magnificent nature setting.

On the way, witness lush greenery of the Ambewela farm. Why not stop your journey for a hot cup of farm fresh milk? En-route enjoy a fun-filled tractor tour to Strawberry Farm too.

Today you will be transferred to beautiful hill capital of Sri Lanka – Kandy. Before you step into the comfort of your room, don’t miss a chance to visit a batik factory to see how the village girls make bare white sheets to colourful batik artworks. Drop in to a spice garden to savour the flavours which taste your every meal. Utilise your complementary head / shoulder massage here to relieve your muscles, which may well deserve such a treat after very active journey.

Rest and relax in the hotel until you’ll be taken to view a cultural show in the evening. Witness the traditional dances and drum beats of island’s rich culture in it’s full swing. Keep your camera handy not to miss few shots of this cultural event, specially when the “fire eaters” are on the stage!

  • Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage this morning to witness how 90 more elephants live their jumbo life well looked after by their human “fathers”

Day 6: Departure

Cost includes:

  • Meeting and assistance at the airport on arrival and airport transfer
  • Accommodation at hotels specified or similar with Breakfast starting from day 2
  • Transportation in an Air-conditioned Car ( up to 3 pax) or Van (4 – 10 pax) with English speaking driver guide

Payment Conditions:

  • Payment only should be made once you receive your Invoice from Heart Attached (Pvt) Ltd
  • Six weeks or more prior to the travel date – 50% of the total tour cost
  • Six weeks or less – 100% of the tour cost
  • All the bank charges borne by the remitter. Local bank charges borne by us
  • Credit card payment will attract additional 4% to 5% charges depending on the card type

Other Conditions:

  • Once confirmed hotels can be changed within cancellation window only with a cancellation fee. Please request more details of the hotels if required or visit their websites / reviews for more information
  • Excursions / day tours except the ones agreed in the above programme are optional and could be provided on an additional fee
  • Entrance Fees are NOT included to any of the attractions, unless mentioned above
  • Travel insurance is not included in the above cost
  • Visits to wild life parks will be at client’s own risk
  • Jeeps available are very basic with basic insurance cover (not comprehensive as in the case of vehicles used for tours)

Cancellation Charges:

  • 15 days or less – 100% cancellation charge
  • Between 16 days and 30 days – 50% cancellation charges or the equivalent of the first two days charges depending on the programme and period of stay
  • Above 30 days – No cancellation charges provided no commitment or advances are made to 3rd parties
  • During peak seasons, (e.g. Dec – Jan) 100% cancellation charge applicable for cancellation within 30 days

Hotel rules and regulations:

  • The official check-in time at all hotels will be 1400hrs
  • The official check-out time at all hotels will be 1100hrs
  • Early check-in and late check-out are on availability basis
  • Cancellation policy will be applicable for any reduction of rooms after the release period
  • All the supplements should be directly paid to the hotel
